When I dug into my collection from decades ago, searching for Orioles cards to use here at the Bird Tapes, I discovered that I had cornered the market on cards of a couple of long-forgotten Birds.
Great article. If you ever need photos of any Orioles baseball cards, I have every card from 1954 until the present. I have Topps and Bowman. Let me know if you need any. I even have some St. Louis Browns from 1953.
Thanks for this great offer, Mel. Someone with an excellent collection is helping me, enabling you and others to see some of the great cards on various posts. But there may be a time when I need something, and I will be in touch if so.
Hello John, thanks for writing that article about baseball cards you collected as a kid and still have thanks to your parents. Like you, I was lucky to have cards handed down from my parents from our attic that were ones I bought in 61, 62, 63, 65 and 1966. They are treasures for sure now and there’s some star players in the mix. I interviewed Sam Bowen Sr., Sam Bowen Junior‘s father around 2001 for my book about the 1966 Orioles. Sam Bowen Junior was in a nursing home at that point suffering from dementia, so I did not get to talk with him. I do know that in 1965 we thought Bowens was the up-and-coming star after his excellent rookie season in 64.
Vic Roznovsky is prominent in my collection. :-)

As do I. Happy Holidays to all!

Love it! I treasure my childhood cards, although they’re a bit more recent than your collection. Thanks for sharing!
